Virtual paid internship placements for MSWs in their second year, with direct clinical hours that are virtual or in your community setting (schools, independent living facilities, homeless shelters, churches, libraries, and community buildings). We provide a stipend to all interns paid out for 33 weeks of placement (2 academic semesters). Internships come with free virtual supervision from an LCSW weekly and access to a peer support group. We work 4 days a week leaving 3 days weekends for self-care. Our intern therapists are given additional support but also required to have a supportive and highly involved professional from their CSWE accredited program to meet with them weekly and ensure they are prepared to see clients safely. This professional from their university can be a field liaison, field mentor, or placement supervisor and they must be independently licensed to practice in Illinois with 3+ years of post graduate experience in assessments, intakes, diagnostics, treatment planning, and therapy. When we identify skill or knowledge deficiencies, they must be committed to developing a remediation plan collaboratively with the intern and ensuring follow through as well as checking for competence and the ability to apply the new skills and knowledge. Many interns will be offered the opportunity to join our practice after graduation in an associateship.

For associate and bachelors level interns, we offer a therapeutic virtual internship that can be tailored to your unique academic and career goals. You will also have access to the supervision and peer support group to deepen your knowledge in mental health services if you are interested in a clinical future, if you are more business and leadership oriented, this supervision and peer support group will not be required.
